The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee works towards bringing greater diversity, equity, and inclusion to BOMA and the industry we represent.

Guiding Principles

BOMA San Francisco does not condone or tolerate racism, discrimination, or unequal treatment of anyone. We seek to create pathways to success for everyone interested in commercial real estate. We work to create an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work and be a valued, contributing member of the commercial real estate industry.

We honor all aspects of diversity including age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical and mental ability, and ethnicity.

BOMA is committed to actively supporting human rights and social equity in alignment with the values of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. We especially embrace the BLM principle to create a culture where each person feels seen, heard, and supported. We acknowledge, respect, and celebrate differences and commonalities.

  • Identify member thoughts, feelings, and concerns regarding diversity within BOMA and the commercial real estate industry
  • Identify opportunities to educate members about the value of a more diverse workforce
  • Propose actions that member companies can take to attract a more diverse pool of candidates into the workforce
  • Provide members information and resources on diversity, equity, and inclusion
