Codes & Regulations (C&R)

Mission

The Codes and Regulations Committee educates BOMA San Francisco members about the impact of construction industry codes, standards, ordinances, and regulations on the commercial real estate industry. The committee also provides input on the code-making process at the local, state, and national levels consistent with BOMA’s policy positions. Finally, the committee also seeks to celebrate and educate members about historic assets through building tours and information sharing.

Goals

  • Support member information needs regarding relevant building codes, building permit procedures and policies, and their implementation and impact on commercial property owners, managers, and historic buildings.
  • Serve as the primary committee connecting BOMA San Francisco to the San Francisco Building and Planning Departments, the Building Inspection Commission, the City’s Code Advisory Committees, Historic Preservation Commission, and other bodies representing building codes and code enforcement at the local and state level.
